differing friendship

A rabbit and an eagle have become unlikely best friends in China.

Eagle and rabbit /Lu Feng

The owner of the eagle put the rabbit in its cage at Beizhamen Bird Market, Zhengzho City, for the bird's dinner.

But instead of following its predatory nature, the eagle made friends with the startled but fortunate rabbit.

"The rabbit very humbly combs the eagle's feathers with its mouth," the surprised owner told Oriental Today.

"The eagle is four-months-old, and I threw him the rabbit for food, but apparently he doesn't know how to enjoy his meals."

Tear Jerker

I was watching demi moore’s classic movie ghost last night and I still could not stop my self to cry. The first time I saw that movie was 15 years ago and it still had me until now. I never lost interest. Ghost as far as I'm concerned will forever be a romantic classic. It is passionate and touching. Ghost shows the love that transcends even death. The chemistry between Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze is incredible. They make a real romantic connection just through their eyes. This is real tear jerker movie.. better watch it again…

It's Me (nah)

In the old days when people studied traditional grammar, we could simply say, “The first person singular pronoun is “I” when it’s a subject and “me” when it’s an object,” but now few people know what that means. Let’s see if we can apply some common sense here. The misuse of “I” and “myself” for “me” is caused by nervousness about “me.” Educated people know that “Jim and me is goin’ down to slop the hogs,” is not elegant speech, not “correct.” It should be “Jim and I” because if I were slopping the hogs alone I would never say “Me is going. . . .” If you refer to yourself first, the same rule applies: It’s not “Me and Jim are going” but “I and Jim are going.”

So far so good. But the notion that there is something wrong with “me” leads people to overcorrect and avoid it where it is perfectly appropriate. People will say “The document had to be signed by both Susan and I” when the correct statement would be, “The document had to be signed by both Susan and me.” Trying even harder to avoid the lowly “me,” many people will substitute “myself,” as in “The suspect uttered epithets at Officer O’Leary and myself.”

“Myself” is no better than “I” as an object. “Myself” is not a sort of all-purpose intensive form of “me” or “I.” Use “myself” only when you have used “I” earlier in the same sentence: “I am not particularly fond of goat cheese myself.” “I kept half the loot for myself.” All this confusion can easily be avoided if you just remove the second party from the sentences where you feel tempted to use “myself” as an object or feel nervous about “me.” You wouldn’t say, “The IRS sent the refund check to I,” so you shouldn’t say “The IRS sent the refund check to my wife and I” either. And you shouldn’t say “to my wife and myself.” The only correct way to say this is, “The IRS sent the refund check to my wife and me.” Still sounds too casual? Get over it.

On a related point, those who continue to announce “It is I” have traditional grammatical correctness on their side, but they are vastly outnumbered by those who proudly boast “it’s me!” There’s not much that can be done about this now. Similarly, if a caller asks for Susan and Susan answers “This is she,” her somewhat antiquated correctness is likely to startle the questioner into confusion.

Summer Breeze

If I could do anything this summer I would travel faraway. I would walk barefoot through the sand and stay in a beautiful city house where I could sit atop the roof at night and let the warm wind blow through my hair like a fine toothed comb. I would let the entire world encompass me in its warmth and touch. I would soak in the sun and feel the waves hit my back. Beautiful flowers would grow atop my roof and their scents would trail throughout the air like some kind of fragrant ghost, creating a memory that lasts forever, a smell, a touch, a taste that I can hold wherever I go of that perfect summer.

Silly Driveeees>>>cars

A man in a Jaguar passed a mini that had broken down by the side of the road. Being a kindly driver, he stopped and fixed a tow-rope to it and began towing it to the nearest garage. After 10 minutes of towing, a Porsche passed them at high speed. The Jaguar driver was not going to be outdone by a Porsche, so, forgetting that he had a mini in tow, slammed his foot down and the Jaguar and Porsche indulged in a high-speed race down the road, the Skoda and it's occupant trailing wildly about at the end of the rope frantically trying to attract their attention and failing. A Police car saw them and gave chase. The Police driver radioed back to Headquarters "Sarge, you'll never believe this, I've just seen a Porsche and a Jaguar neck and neck doing 150 mph - and a bloke in a mini flashing his lights, blowing his horn and trying to overtake them!"

A man in a Porsche 911 stops at a stoplight and a guy on a scooter pulls up next to him. The guy on the scooter leans over and takes an admiring look at the inside of the Porsche and tells the driver that he has a really hot car. Well, the light turned green so the driver of the Porsche decides to show off and peels out and leaves the guy on the scooter in the dust. Then, all of a sudden, he sees the scooter zip on past him. So, being a little cocky, the Porsche driver floors it again and blows past the guy on the scooter. A few seconds later, he again sees the scooter zip on past him. So now he's a little irate as well as a little mifted that that scooter keeps passing him so he floors it until he is going over 100 mph. He thinks to himself that there would be no way that scooter could catch him now, but then looks in the rearview mirror and sees that scooter starting to catch up. He then decides to find out what that scooter really is and slams on his brakes. Then the scooter crashes into the Porsche. After the dust settled, the Porsche driver sees the scooter driver lying in the road and goes over to him and askes how he could go as fast as the Porsche on a little wimpy scooter... The dying man replied, "I can't really, but my suspenders were caught on your side mirror...." A man in a Jaguar passed a mini that had broken down by the side of the road. My Collection of Text Qoutes (Since 2000)

Never in my life have I known someone as special as you are. It’s because I can only see you through my heart and what I see is a wonderful person I won’t see in anywhere else but in you.

I often feel like you’re my image in a mirror. Smile and you’ll see me smile too. Frown and you’ll see me frown too. Make a face a I’ll create one too. But what I think I’ll never do is to turn my back when you do.

I’m propagating a unicameral form of idiosyncrasy occurring malevolently in meritorious piece of clasterubial brain!! In short “im thinking of you”.

If one day you feel like crying call me.. I don’t promise to make you laugh but I can cry with you.. But if one day you call and there’s no answer, come and see me..perhaps it’s me who needs you.

A flower is a flower, a plum is plum, a kiss is not a kiss without a tongue so if you want to exercise your tongue just call me and I will give you a chewing gum.

Sometimes caring is better than loving. Sometimes tea is better than coffee. Sometimes smile is better than laughter. But nobody is better than “u” finding time to text me. Thanks!

If someone comes into your life and becomes a part of you but for some reason she could not stay, don’t cry too much. Just be glad that your paths crossed and somehow she made you happy even in a single while.

I always think of you. But I always fail to know the reason why, Is there something else I should know about you? But there’s something I know thats true. That life will always be sad without you.

I’ve made so many mistakes in my life but something I did right was to have you
. I don’t want to make another mistake by losing a person like you.

Every text message I send to you is not considered as expense, rather as revenue, because a nice person like you is definitely an asset! Great accounting!

Wake me up when you’re heart needs company. Take my hand when you feel alone. Turn to me when you need someone to lean on because til time runs out, I will always be your friend.

Love doesn’t ask why for it is the reason itself. Love doesn’t ask what if for ot is willing to risk all. Love doesn’t ask until when for it knows only forever.

I won’t beep you if I don’t miss you. I won’t waste my time testing you if you are special. There’s so many reasons why, but 1 thing I thinks for sure, you are special…

I can’t find a reason why why God gave you to me, but that’s not the question to be asked. Maybe the question is, How did God know that I badly needed someone like you.

Hold a true friend with both your hands, don’t let go because true friends come once in a lifetime. That is why im holding you tight! Precious treasure I can’t let go.

Qoute: “ I promised not to love someone because im not ready yet, then you came into my life and all has changed. I left my promise untrue because I can’t help the fact that im so inlove with you.

Days are made special with a smile. So at at at any occasion.. a friendly reminder from the phil mental institute.

When life gives you a thousand reason to cry, show that you have a thousand and one reasons to smile. Keep smiling and enjoy life no matter how bad it may seem..

God made the beauty of the earth, the glory up above and im forever grateful that he made the man I love…

Keeping a friend is as difficult as losing one. You sacrifice a lot to keep them. I may not have sacrificed enough for you but in my heart I swear im keeping you.

Note: This brain twister should be sent only to those who are smart and capable. Please re arrange these letters to make just one word “unwoodstrej”

-a line-doesn’t-have-an-end-unless-u-put-a-dot-on-its-edges—let—us-b-like-this—line—that-never-ends-lets-not---put-dots—on-it—and-keep-it-in-our-hearts-forever-J

Though times may change and years may pass, one thing will never end. The thankfulness I’ll always feel because you have been my friend.

Scientists have a theory that life on earth came from a meteor that crashed long ago. Don’t know about that but I know that life’s a whole lot better since you crashed into mine.

What’s rare? Wining a lottery ticket, grand slam in world series, 18 century coin found in a garage sale…the rarest.. great guy like you!!

Slowly im missing you, but I still try to keep things where they should be so when you feel that I don’t care for you, just try to remember that all my care for you grows inside me where no one can see..

Friends are like balloons. Once you let them go can never have them back. That is why I’ll tie you tight in my heart so that you will be with me for the rest of my life..

Life is full of beautiful things soft sunset, painted rainbows, delicate blossoms, love and laughter, quiet moments, and nice people like you.

For as long as there is tomorrow, I will be hre. For as long as you need me in your life. I’ll be with you. I would not leave you for as long as you wish me to be
there..i’ll stay..

Days may pass and you won’t hear anything from me, but always remember that on a clear day or a cloudy night I always wish you to be safe and happy..

In this world where everything seems uncertain, only one thing is definite, I will always be your friend.. beyond words, beyond times, beyond distance!!

I miss you when there’s no reason how much more if there was? I miss you more when we talk. How muck more if we don’t? I miss you after we’re together. How much more if I can see you never? I miss you now! How much more later?

When you look for the right person, you always end up with the wrong one. But when you just sit by the corner and wait, he comes along and shares the corner with you..

I don’t want to say I miss you though deep inside I do because I’m afraid youmight see through and know how much fear I have of losing someone like you..

The loveliest day comes when you wake up each day and find out that love still colors your world through persons who truly care and never fail to remember.

When days are dark and I feel blue, can I ask something? Can I think of you? It’s the only way I could get through because it’s nice to know I have you.

I don’t mind being a tree as long as you’re on an island with me!

A soft rain falls gently on my weary eyes, as if to hide a single tear. My life will be forever in autumn, because you are not here.

As I woke up this morning, my angel came smiling and asked, “What’s your wish for today?” I paused for awhile then I told her not to worry about me and just take care of you.

They say friends always need to hold hands but not us because even if we are not holding each others hands, we know that we always have each other to hold on to..

When you need someone to be there for you and no one is around, gaze up to the sky. I may not be there to cheer you up but remember that we’re just under the sane sky, I could never be too far!

You can hide the pain that you feel and make others believe that you can move on but you can never deny the truth to yourself that the person who has failed and hurt you is still the person you will always choose to love.

I always thought that love can melt away the pain no matter how painful it is, but I realized that pain can melt away love no matter how great it is.

One of the greatest blessings there could be is having you,. we may not meet, talk, keep in touch as often as we want, but I know within my heart that you are there caring for me as I do for you.

Knowing you is one of the wonderful things that happened to me. Though I know we can’t be together all the time, it’s enough that I have you in my life.

If sometimes text comes in the wrong time, sorry for the inconvenience and when your cell phone beeps only to find out that it’s me, I hope you’re not disappointed, I’m just someone who remembers and cares.

There can never be someone who can take the place I have saved for you in my heart because even if time would bring me someone new, my heart would refuse to let go of a sweet friend like you.

You’ve got lots of friends that you won’t even notice my absence. If someday you find no one, I’m just around!

If I could pick one moment out of time and keep it shining always new, of all the days that I have lived, I’d pick the moment I knew you.

Time may set us apart and it may never permit us to be together yet no matter what happens, bear in mind that in my heart you will never lose your place and will never be replaced.

I woke up from a dream crying. I was shot dead through the heart. I cried not because I’m afraid to die but because I can’t bear the pain knowing you are inside that heart.

Someday I wish to be remembered as your bestfriend in life. But I would rather choose to be remembered as your true friend because not all bestfriends are true but true friends are better than the best.

Sometimes we hold back our feelings not because we are scared of falling for the person but because that person has always been meant just for our dreams.

I said I love you, you said you love me too.. This morning my doctor said I was nuts! Well, I guess that made us two!

You deserve to be happy not in the arms of someone who keeps you waiting but in the arms of someone who will take care of you now, love you forever and leave you never.

As butterflies close your eyes and fireflies light the night, may the angels keep you warm as you take your sleep tonight.

We bridge distance with words still we know ours is more than an exchange of text messages. It’s keeping friendship alive..

Silence means yes but I rather hear even the simplest hello from you.

I used to think that the world is so unfair. Everyday it gives me so many reasons to hate it but how can I hate the same wonderful world that gave me the same wonderful you.

Little birdie in the sky dropped a poopoo in my eye. I didn’t scream I didn’t cry. I just thanked God that carabaos don’t fly. Thank God for small blessings.

It’s fine rather amazing how we’ve come to know each other and eventually become friends. Life has its miracles and knowing you is reason enough to believe in one.

We convince ourselves that life will be better once we have graduated from school. Then we get frustrated because we end up unemployed, and that all will be well when we get a job. Then we get frustrated because of low salary- not enough to start a family, and that all will be well when we get promoted or get hired by a high-paying employer.

We think that we have the money to raise a family- so, we get married. Have a kid... and another one.

And another.

Then we get frustrated because our children are not old enough, and that all will be well when they are older. Then we get frustrated because they reach adolescence and we have to put up with them. Surely we'll be happier when they grow out of their teen years.

We tell ourselves all will be better when we have mended ties, bought a house, earned some money, bought things we've been craving for. When we have a nicer car, when we take a vacation.

Truth is, there is no better time to be happy than right now. If not, then when? Our lives will always be full of challenges and obstacles. It is better to admit that life is indeed difficult and to decide to be happy in spite of it all.

Happiness is not a destination.

There is no road to happiness. It IS the road.

Always Changing

Please excuse me if I'm a little pensive today. Mark is leaving, and I'm feeling kind of sad. You probably don't know Mark, but you might be lucky enough to know someone just like him. He's been the heart and soul of the office for a couple of years, combining exemplary professional skills with a sweet nature and gentle disposition. He's never been all that interested in getting credit for the terrific work he does. He just wants to do his job, and to do it superbly well. And now he's moving on to an exciting new professional opportunity. It sounds like it could be the chance of a lifetime, and we're genuinely, sincerely pleased for him. But that doesn't make it any easier to say goodbye to a dear friend and trusted colleague. Life has a way of throwing these curve balls at us. Just when we start to get comfortable with a person, a place or a situation, something comes along to alter the recipe. A terrific neighbor moves away. Someone in the family graduates. A child finds new love and loyalties through marriage. The family's principle bread-winner is laid off. Our ability to cope with change and disruption determines, to a great degree, our peace, happiness and contentment in life. But how do we do that? Philosophers have considered the question for centuries, and their responses have been varied. According to the author of the Biblical book of Ecclesiastes, comfort can be found in remembering that "to every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven." Kahlil Gibran urged his listeners to "let today embrace the past with remembrance, and the future with longing." A friend of mine who works for the government is fond of reminding his fellow bureaucrats that "survivability depends upon adaptability. "And then there's Chris, the California surf-rat, who once told me that the answer to life's problems can be summed up in four words: "Go with the flow." "It's like surfing," Chris explained. "You can't organize the ocean. Waves just happen. You ride 'em where they take you, then you paddle back out there and catch the next one. Sure, you're always hoping for the perfect wave where you can get, like, you know, totally tubular. But mostly you just take 'em the way they come. It's not like you're trying to nail Jell-O to a tree, you know?" I'm not exactly sure, but I think Chris was saying that life is a series of events -- both good and bad. No matter how deft your organizational skills, there will always be life-influencing factors over which you have no control. The truly successful person expects the unexpected, and is prepared to make adjustments should the need arise -- as it almost always does. That doesn't mean you don't keep trying to make all your dreams come true. It just means that when things come up that aren't exactly in your plan, you work around them -- and then you move on. Of course, some bumps along the road of life are easier to take than others. A rained-out picnic, for example, is easier to cope with than the sudden death of a loved one. But the principle is the same. "Change, indeed, is painful, yet ever needful," said philosopher Thomas Carlyle. "And if memory have its force and worth, so also has hope." We're going to miss Mark, just like you'll miss that graduate, that neighbor or that newlywed. But rather than dwell on the sadness of our parting, we'll focus on our hopes for a brighter future - for him, and for us. And then we'll go out and do everything we can to make that future happen. Until our plans change - again.
